Sunday Coed 6s

DESCRIPTION:

  • Coed 4 – 6 players; minimum of 1 girl per 3 guys

  • Recreational level with minor lifts left for play

  • Games: 3 matches to 25 points; rally scoring

  • Game Times: 12:45pm, 1:40pm, 2:35pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:25pm, 6:20pm, 7:15pm, 8:10pm

  • 7 weeks + tournament; no rain make-up 

  • League Fee: $300 per team + no ref fees

  • Prizes will be awarded for league & tournament winners

  • The tournament will be combined with the Thursday league and split into levels

  • League fee must be paid in full by Game 1

Sunday Coed 6s - Recreational

DESCRIPTION:

  • Next season starts in April 2024
  • Coed 5 – 6 players; minimum of 1 girl per 3 guys
  • Recreational with hybrid indoor & sand volleyball rules
  • 7 weeks + tournament; no rain make-up games
  • Games: 3 matches to 21 points; rally scoring
  • Tournament may be combined with the Thursday 6s and separated into three levels – Gold & Silver on Sunday and Bronze on Thursday
  • League Fee: $420 per team
  • Registration ends 2 weeks prior to start date

Thursday Coed 6s - recreational

DESCRIPTION:

  • Next season starts in April
  • Coed 5– 6 players; minimum of 1 girl per 3 guys

2023 league Rules

Facility Rules
  1. No outside food or drink.
  2. Seating is available for volleyball teams on the sand. Sand tables are self-serve by ordering at
    the bar; a server can deliver your food. If you prefer to sit on the patio, you must call to reserve a
    5+ person table. Host/hostess will manage all seating. Do not seat yourself on the patio.
  3. No glass on the sand. This includes the patio wall. Request plastic from your server if you
    would like to take a drink out on the sand. Glass may be used on the sand tables but must remain
    on these tables during play.
  4. Tables and chairs on the patio may not be rearranged without staff/management permission.
  5. Patio tables must place drink and food orders from the server, not at the bar. Sand tables
    should order from the bar.
  6. No form of tobacco (including vaping) is permitted in the entirety of Mac’s facilities. Use of
    tobacco is subject to team league forfeit.
  7. The patio door is an emergency exit ONLY and may not be used for entrance or exit otherwise.
  8. Alcohol may not be taken outside the facilities.
  9. Shoes/flip flops and a shirt must be worn inside the restaurant.
  10. An adult must actively supervise children playing in the sand. Children may play in the sand
    behind the referee stand.

  • On the serve your foot cannot touch, go over, or go under the line before you contact the ball.
  • The serve may not be blocked or attacked. The entirety of the ball must be lower than the top of the net to be returned on the serve.
  • You cannot have any contact with the net (excluding hair and loose clothing) at anytime the ball is live. You may go under the net, providing there is no interference or contact with the opposing team.
  • No carries or excessive lifts.
  • The ball must contact any parts of your body at the same time. Double contacts are not permitted. Hands must be together when contacting the ball with two hands below the waist.
  • The ball is not playable if it hits anything outside of the court lines.
  • The wood poles on the net are in play. Any balls that cross over outside of these poles are out of bounds.
  • A block is not considered one of the 3 touches.
  • The ball is playable off the net.
  • Open hand tips & setting over the net are permitted.

Competitive 4s:

  • Rotating is not required.

Game Format

Recreational 6s:

  1. Rally scoring: 3 matches to 25 points each, first team to 25 points wins (win by one).
  2. If your team must forfeit a game, notify both your league manager and your opponent’s captain ASAP. (Games played with all subs can be played, but will be recorded as 3 wins for the other team.)

Tournament:

When two dates are listed on your scheduel for tournament: Thursday and Sunday leagues are combined for tournament and split into three levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze. On tournament week, Gold & Silver tournaments will play on Sunday and Bronze will play on Thursday.

Team standings will be updated on the website under Results. Final standings will not be available until the Friday before tournament week.

Tournament format is 1 game to 21 points, win by 2 (no cap) double elimination unless stated otherwise.

No new subs unless that player is of equal or lesser value than the player they are replacing.

League players will be entered into our player prize drawing, given that their email has been added to their league email list. Enter by sending your email to volleyball@macspizzapub.com.

Competitive 4s:

  1. Rally scoring: 3 matches to 21 points each, win by 2 (cap at 25).
  2. If your team must forfeit a game, notify both your league manager and your opponent’s captain ASAP. (Games played with all subs can be played, but will be recorded as 3 wins for the other team.)
